It’s the summer, and we’ll be taking the next few weeks off for some much-needed playtime. No one knows the importance of play more than our ambassador Marilyn Barefoot. In this week’s blog, Marilyn explains why connecting to your creative inner child is the secret to solving any problem. If you have any doubt check out the two young women that are inspiring us with their courage and innovation. We are also celebrating the joie de vivre of Elle Lindquist who despite a childhood marred by drugs and suicide, has gone on to become an inspiration, as well as a source of information for hundreds of thousands of her loyal followers. We will be returning on September 5th. Wishing you all a fun-filled August. Let’s play!

Elle Lindquist, successful mommy blogger and vlogger, shares her incredible journey. Her ethos is “to live a joyful, healthy and empowered lifestyle based on quality over quantity”. In this video we go behind the scenes to learn how Elle created her successful YouTube channel and brand. What’s inspiring us
At the age of 17 Kiara Nirghin is already a fierce player in the environmental movement. In the midst of South Africa’s worst drought this young woman from Johannesburg has created a super absorbent polymer from orange peels that could change the way crops are grown. Kiara Nirghin’s project “No More Thirsty Crops” won the Google Science Fair’s Community Impact Award for the Middle East and Africa.
We’re also inspired and humbled by 16 year old Greta Thunberg. Her TED talk is a passionate plea to action, explaining why she walked out of school and organized a strike to raise awareness about global warming. Her protest outside the Swedish parliament grabbed world attention and her speech to the United Nations on Climate Change will bring tears to your eyes.
