This is the perfect visualization for what it feels like to be an entrepreneur. Those tough days where nagging doubts bubble up to the surface. What am I doing? What if this doesn’t work out? Am I crazy? And the worst one: what will everyone think of me if this fails? Though we can’t guarantee the outcome, we can say that participating in anything that pushes your boundaries, challenges you, and causes inevitable growth in the process is worth the risk. If you are lucky enough to have it manifest into something that is valuable to the rest of the world, that’s something. If it means a deeper, richer experience of life for you, that’s everything.
With gratitude, Jessica and Tracy

What’s inspiring us
Watching anything with Toni Collette is a delicious treat, and United States of Tara is a virtual smorgasbord for her talent. She plays a schizophrenic suburban mom with multiple personality disorder. Her personas range from a teenage girl to a gun-toting redneck named “Buck.” Most women, especially if they are entrepreneurs, will relate. We talk about being good multi-taskers, but with taking care of kids, running a business, staying on top of the latest social media platforms, and for many of us, home schooling our children, we can all feel a bit schizophrenic these days.
Dolly Parton is one of the most inspiring women of our time. She is a serial entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a feminist. And, she has achieved all of this without trading in her unique style and uncompromising personality. With her dazzling outfits, flamboyant hair, and ample assets, she could have easily have been considered a joke, but Dolly is nobody’s fool. She is the original master of the personal brand, somehow managing to offend no one and be relatable to everyone; making her one of the least polarizing icons of all time. Dolly feels very accessible yet still retains a very private life. In the new Netflix documentary, Here I Am, we learn what it has taken for this remarkable woman to create and maintain a career that has spanned decades. Dolly, we will always love you.
“Train your mind for peace and purpose every day,” is the tag line to Think Like A Monk, by Jay Shetty. These days, nothing could sound more appealing! Jay draws from his personal experience, specifically his time spent as a monk, to share practical tips on living a less anxious, and more meaningful life. After three years as a monk, Jay returned to his home in London with no money and no plan. From there he went on to being listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 list, achieved unimaginable success on multi-social media platforms, and currently hosts the number one podcast on health and wellness in the world. Perhaps there is something to learn here.
