november, we remember

november, we remember

The number 11:11 for many symbolizes a time of remembrance. We remember those who fought for us and our country, “lest we forget.” For others it’s a highly spiritual number, symbolizing “new beginnings.” So whether this number makes us sad or hopeful depends entirely on us and our perspective. Maybe we don’t have to choose. Perhaps when we see 11:11 what we should remember is that despite great loss, there is always the chance to begin again.

With gratitude,
Jessica and Tracy
A hot topic in the news these days is “the great resignation.” Since emerging from the worst days of Covid it seems that a lot of people are rethinking their lives and their jobs. As a result many industries and business owners are struggling to find staff. In this podcast we chat with Tory Wright, a business owner who has kept her staff for over 35 years. What is the secret? How do you create a family atmosphere at a company? Why do your employees stick around through the tough times as well as the good?

In the new world of technology and overnight success has everything and everyone become dispensable? Maybe the “new normal” needs to look back to some of the old norms that kept business and the economy ticking along.

Indiana (Indy) Greg is a 5x founder and creative visionary. Her latest passion project is a new online platform called Wedo. In a career spanning over 20 years, Indy has led teams in the tech, fintech, real estate, fashion, music and cosmetic industries, and consulted show-stopping brands like LVMH, IKEA and Sony to name just a few.  She’s also a rockstar (yes a real rockstar), who did it all while raising three children as a single mom.

Indy is so inspiring and her advice is priceless. She is a great example of how we are all multi-faceted and have the power to continuously reinvent ourselves. Indy shows us that when we dig deep we can find our natural power and manifest our deepest desires.

Guess what? It turns out that life does not end at 50. We have been waiting for this re-boot of the Sex and the City series with baited breath. As this trailer demonstrates life continues and you get comfortable in your own skin, AND JUST LIKE THAT, a new chapter begins. They are playing our song.

We recently had a conversation with the talented Kaley Roberts. She reached out to us because she liked what we were about. After chatting with Kaley we liked what she was about too. Kaley is a young journalist, documentary filmmaker and recently an author. She tackles subjects that she feels do not get enough attention. Her book Unreported, looks at why 75% of people do not report sexual assault crimes. The book contains true stories of women who experienced sexual violence and didn’t report it, and those who did but didn’t get the outcome they deserved. Why most women choose to suffer in silence is complicated. Kaley’s book is an appeal for change that can only come from a supportive community that demands it.

Welcome to our new members! Stay tuned to learn more about these amazing women when we do an in-depth profile on each in the upcoming months.
